Every Ride, Built on Quality: Sumit Kumar’s Story

Every Kinetic DX Has a Standard to Meet. Sumit Kumar Makes Sure It Does.

Behind every scooter that rolls out of the plant is a process built on precision, responsibility and a commitment to quality. For Sumit Kumar, who brings 17 years of experience in the automobile industry, ensuring that every scooter meets these standards is more than a responsibility. It is a matter of pride.

Originally from Haridwar, Sumit has worked across the four-wheeler, three-wheeler and two-wheeler segments. Since joining Kinetic’s two-wheeler operations in June 2023, he has been closely involved in the production of the Kinetic DX, overseeing quality from the arrival of individual components to the final inspection and dispatch of the finished vehicle.

His role covers the complete quality cycle, including Incoming Quality Control (IQC), In-Process Quality Control (IPQC) and Final Quality Control (FQC). He is also accountable for addressing field failures, ensuring that quality remains a priority beyond the factory floor. To maintain the quality of every Kinetic DX, a dedicated quality inspection station has been established at the plant. Components are inspected individually, followed by scooter-level inspections to ensure that every part comes together as it should.

Before a vehicle is cleared for dispatch, it passes through a five-stage quality inspection process comprising CFT checks, dynamometer testing, electrical testing, aesthetic inspection and road testing. Each stage serves a specific purpose, helping identify potential issues before the vehicle reaches the customer.

With current production standing at approximately 17 scooters per day, including inspection and dispatch, the team is working to match the growing demand for Kinetic DX. As sales increase, production is scaling alongside them, with the focus on meeting customer requirements without compromising quality. For Sumit, the objective remains clear: work towards a zero-defect product. It is a standard that demands consistency, attention to detail and teamwork at every stage of manufacturing.

But the most rewarding part of his work comes when he sees a Kinetic DX out on the road. Having contributed to building, inspecting and dispatching these scooters, seeing customers ride them and hearing their positive feedback brings a sense of accomplishment that goes beyond the production numbers.

Because every scooter delivered carries the effort of the people who built it and the responsibility of those who ensured it was ready. At Kinetic, quality isn’t the last checkpoint. It’s a commitment built into every ride.
