Kinetic Engineering Unveils Robotic Chassis Line at Ahilya Nagar

A Major Step Toward Automated and Sustainable Manufacturing

Kinetic Engineering has achieved another manufacturing milestone with the inauguration of a fully automated production line for its Kinetic DX and DX+ electric scooters at the Ahilya Nagar facility in Maharashtra.
This milestone reflects the brand’s long-term vision to integrate automation, efficiency, and sustainability into the future of mobility manufacturing.

Introducing the Robotic Chassis Line

At the heart of this transformation is the new Robotic Chassis Line, equipped with automated welding systems, advanced fixture technology, and a dedicated scooter frame assembly cell.
This setup ensures high precision and consistency in chassis production, resulting in superior structural quality and durability for the Kinetic DX series.
Moreover, the transition to robotics enables faster turnaround times and minimizes human error—enhancing both safety and productivity on the factory floor.

Upgrades in Metal Body and Paint Shop

Beyond the chassis line, the facility has seen significant improvements in metal body panel production.
With the use of hydraulic and mechanical presses, spot welding systems, and pneumatic fixtures, accuracy has been enhanced while production errors have been reduced.
The modernized paint shop features a seven-tank coating process, beginning with CED treatment and followed by a metallic finish.
As a result, the scooters now offer higher corrosion resistance, a premium surface finish, and greater overall aesthetic appeal.

Streamlined Parts Storage and Supply System

To support these advancements, Kinetic has implemented an improved parts storage and supply system.
Each component is now quality-checked using individual gauges, while the kit-based supply aligns perfectly with sub-assembly requirements.
This process has streamlined inventory handling, reduced downtime, and ensured greater operational efficiency across production.

A New Standard for Indian EV Manufacturing

Speaking at the inauguration, Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, said:

“The future of manufacturing belongs to companies that seamlessly integrate automation, precision, and sustainability. With our Robotic Chassis Line, we’re not just upgrading a facility—we’re reimagining manufacturing in India.”

He further emphasized that this initiative sets a benchmark for automation in traditional industries, positioning Kinetic as a frontrunner in modern, scalable, and sustainable EV production.

Driving the Future of EV Production

These advancements directly enhance the production of Kinetic DX and DX+, enabling the company to meet rising demand with improved speed, quality, and efficiency.
By embedding automation and modern production techniques into every stage, Kinetic Engineering continues to set a new benchmark for electric vehicle manufacturing in India.
